Latinas Empowering Latinas
Madrinas is a unique organization dedicated to the leadership development and advancement of Latina professionals. We are committed to celebrating our rich Latino culture. Through the organization we provide mentorship, role models, and we leverage our knowledge and experience to help shape the future of the growing pool of talented professional, Latina women.
Our members are supported through skill-building programs, networking, and mentoring opportunities, in person and virtual forums. Our distinguished “Conversation with Experts" are monthly programs that feature a variety of expert presenters who address key issues, trends, and topics impacting Latinas in the workplace and at home.
We welcome all who want to share and can benefit from this.
Madrinas - the organization that best understands and supports the leadership aspiration and career advancement needs of Corporate Latina Leaders.
I am pleased to report that the 2015 Madrinas Working Mother Networking event was a huge success!
With almost 50 women in attendance at the special Madrinas networking event, we learned that a powerful Latina mindset remains unshakable in the face of challenge and struggle. Led by Betsy Silva, Madrinas Board member and Director of Diversity & Inclusion for Boehringer-Ingelheim, we engaged with our powerful panelists of three Latina executives on the topic of "The Latina Mindset Matters: How a Cultural View Ignites One's Potential in the Workplace."
I want to encourage you to stay tuned for future programs and events, which will include a new Madrinas + Simmons Latina Leadership Program and a new Coaching Program for members. Please send an email to me at email@example.com if you are interested in learning more about any of these programs.
Thank you again for your interest in Madrinas and I look forward to supporting your career advancement goals! Please feel free to reach out to me at any point in your Madrinas journey toward success!
With respect and appreciation,
Our high-profile panelists included: Jessica Montoya, Vice President of Government Affairs & Assistant General Counsel, Sodexo USA; Zayde Charles, Global Project Director, Colgate-Palmolive; and Christina Pieretti, Senior Director - Executive Programs, Moody's Analytics. They spoke about obstacles and bumps along the road of success and how to reframe challenges as learning and growth opportunities instead of setbacks.
We learned much from our Madrinas guests! With resolve, resilience, and creative thinking - less than favorable current realities can also be opportunities in disguise. When individuals and teams set their minds to educate one another, challenge bias, and drive positive results - the ripple effect can infuse culture with energy and momentum.
Thank you for all who participated! As you can see from the photos, it was a great event!
