Madrinas is a unique organization dedicated to the leadership development and advancement of Latina professionals. We are committed to celebrating our rich Latino culture. Through the organization we provide mentorship, role models, and we leverage our knowledge and experience to help shape the future of the growing pool of talented professional, Latina women.  

Our members are supported through skill-building programs, networking, and mentoring opportunities, in person and virtual forums. Our distinguished “Conversation with Experts" are monthly programs that feature a variety of expert presenters who address key issues, trends, and topics impacting Latinas in the workplace and at home.

Announcing Madrinas’ new President 

It is with great pleasure that we announce Madrinas' new President, Maria Hernandez, SVP Strategic Development at Modernizing Medicine. Maria was one of the co-founders of Madrinas, served as President of the organization for several years, and has been a member of the Board in recent years. She comes with a wealth of leadership experience, innovative thinking, and energy after a successful career with IBM Corp and most recently at a Healthcare IT start-up. Maria has received recognition for being a Latina role model and has a record of accomplishments in supporting and advancing women through networking, mentoring and leadership development initiatives. 

"I'm thrilled to return to Madrinas as President after the success it has sustained over the years, and the impact it has made on so many corporate Latina women in the US and Latin America."   We welcome Maria back and with her vision and passion we're taking Madrinas to new heights!I
